The general rule of thumb is that managers should speak English and employees should speak Hindi. Indian employees generally get fewer vacation days than their counterparts abroad. Indian managers are often reluctant to take long vacations because they feel they will lose control of the company and their employees during their absence. In addition, it can be difficult for an employee to ask for a vacation day without being seen as lazy or not dedicated to the job.

In the past, employees had to work for 8 hours a day, with no breaks. Today, there are many companies that offer flexible work hours and shorter working days of 6-8 hours. This not only helps employees maintain their own lifestyle but also ensures that they don’t have to put in too much overtime.
